About

This blog is a personal project and portfolio, one which I have been putting off for several years now but alas no longer! If you have found yourself here, welcome and thank you.

I’m a young twenty-something-year-old girl who thinks endlessly and needs a place to put it all. If you discover your new favourite London café, you learn from my mistakes crossing the Nicaraguan border, or you are going through a rough patch in life and feel seen, I am over the moon that you’re here.

I love to travel – I backpacked Costa Rica and Nicaragua solo in 2024, and I am bound for Colombia and Brazil in 2025. A lot of content pending for this year’s adventures – watch this space.

I also spent a year living in France during my studies and fell in love with the way of life, the language and the people. You’ll likely find references to Biarritz scattered throughout my work.

I’ll be writing about a range of topics here in my little corner of the internet as I couldn’t decide on a single theme. I am no philosopher but I give my two cents on a great deal, from the light-hearted to the heavy.

My principal musings revolve around my incessant drive to get out there and live life, and the club no one wants to be part of: grief. The two are born from the loss of my mother to ovarian cancer.

If you would rather avoid the heavier content, steer clear of The Tough Stuff tab – I won’t be offended, it’s not for everyone and it may be too much for some.

If you made it this far, however you found yourself here and whatever you go on to read, thank you for being here.

Lucy.
